Thought Process Aviation Services Announces Contract Award for Hevilift EC145 Passenger Safety Briefing Content in PNG

Contract marks success of company’s unique and cost-effective safety solution for offshore transportation services.

Newfoundland based helicopter safety consultancy company Thought Process Aviation Services announced September 12th that the company has been awarded a contract by Australia’s Hevilift Pty. Ltd. to provide passenger safety briefing videos that feature Thought Process Aviation Services proprietary content utilizing fully animated video to illustrate passenger safety practices during entry and exit of company aircraft in addition to passenger evacuation procedures.

In addition to Thought Process Aviation’s animated video content, proven via research to have a 60% higher retention rate by passengers, the company’s multi-faceted learning approach tapping into passengers kinesthetic learning ability reinforces video instruction with printed passenger briefing cards available to each passenger traveling on Hevilift aircraft to offshore oil platforms.

Thought Process Aviation services has produced a wide range of other animated passenger safety briefings during their over two decades consulting in the helicopter safety arena that includes products for global helicopter operators and oil companies on the Sikorsky S-92 and AW139 platform, adding the EC145 with the latest contract addition for Hevilift. Thought Process Aviation Services video content is also fully IOGP compliant and approved for use through Transport Canada. Each video is also individually customized for clients pertinent to their individual safety needs, equipment, and procedures along with each animated helicopter featuring the company’ aircraft livery to assist with familiarization and individual branding, making each video suitable for external use if required outside the organization.

Thought Process Aviation Services contract also includes the production of passenger safety briefing cards such as this example.

Due to increased market interest and the success of previous animated safety content, Thought Process Aviation Services has already begun work on developing content for additional helicopter models, such as the Leonardo AW189, Bell 412, Airbus H175 and Sikorsky S-76

The company is also in the late-stage development of several offshore training programs for Helicopter Landing Officers/Helideck Assistants, and hot refueling safety related to the operation of the Sikorsky S-92.

Thought Process Aviation Services safety video content is also in use in fixed wing operations, beginning with the completion of an animated safety briefing for the DH6 Twin Otter in operation for a customer in Indonesia that was completed with Bahasa (Indonesian) voice over and English sub-titles to suit customer requirements for the aircraft in operation in Indonesia and Papua New Guinea. The company is also completing development on further fixed wing content specific to the ATR 42/72, Cessna Caravan, Dash 8-300/400 and several variants of King Air aircraft.

The successful contract acceptance by Heavilift on our custom-made solution for their EC145 offshore operations is a testament to the success of our animated content approach being well received by passengers that travel offshore with Heavilift. We look forward to a long and fruitful relationship with this leading aviation transport provider in the oil and gas industry.” said Thought Process Aviation Services Managing Director Morne Wiid.
