Guardian Flight Inc. has appointed Jared Sherman as Alaska Executive Director.
As a member of Guardian Flight’s Executive Management Team, he reports to Fred Buttrell, Guardian Flight President and President and CEO of Air Medical Group Holdings (AMGH), which is Guardian’s parent company.
“Jared is charged with maximizing medical care and service availability throughout Guardian Flight Alaska’s operation in order to provide the best medical transportation with servant care throughout the state,” Buttrell said. “He will have leadership responsibilities overseeing Guardian Flight’s six bases and the largest air medical fleet in Alaska.”
Sherman has extensive air medical management experience in Alaska. Over the past seven years, he held senior leadership positions at another operation in the state. Prior to that he served as a health and safety executive. Sherman holds a Business Administration degree from Baylor University’s Hankamer School of Business. Sherman is a member of the Board of Regents of the Association of Air Medical Services (AAMS) Medical Transport Leadership Institute.
The promotion follows that of Randy Lyman, who was named Vice President of Base Operations for the company just last month. Lyman is responsible for all of Guardian Flight’s more than 50 bases that serve 15 states, including Alaska and Hawaii. Previously he served REACH Air Medical Services as Director of Service Delivery and VP of CALSTAR Air Medical Services, following its acquisition by REACH. REACH and Guardian Flight are both AMGH companies. As VP of Base Operations, Lyman provides leadership, management and vision to ensure that the company has the proper operational controls, administrative and reporting procedures, and people systems in place to effectively grow the organization and to ensure financial strength and operating efficiency.
